Hi Michael... It looks to me like your structapp definition is messed up. I'm not sure why it would be looking for the DTD in a location where "$STRUCTDIR" is in the middle of the path. In your structapp definition, does the "DTD" path start with "$STRUCTDIR\" ? Also .. is there a "Preface.dtd" file? Perhaps you can describe more about the way this structure application is set up. ...scott
