Thank you for the Valuable information! I really appreciate it. Now that I've been able to determine the correct way to make the links, as well as the correct way to link to them, I can move forward. I'm pretty sure that I found a bug, and would appreciate if somebody could verify for me.

My problem: you cannot use underscores in the text for a hyperlink. For instance, the following link works perfectly:

http://mydomain.coml/test1.pdf#M8.newlink.Serviceswww <http://mydomain.coml/test1.pdf#M8.newlink.Serviceswww>

Whereas, the following link just loads the pdf to the first page: http://mydomain.com/test1.pdf#M8.newlink.Services_www <http://mydomain.com/test1.pdf#M8.newlink.Services_www>

I can see both the "newlink Services_www" and the "newlink Serviceswww" in the list of markers, but only one works. When I save as html, the anchors are created correctly (both with and without the underscore), and they obviously work.

Interesting. It looks like I will need to revisit the naming convention of hundreds of links in my book.

Thanks!
