1. No problems. In fact, I had trouble with Math Type because, and this was confirmed by their technical support, it cannot use TrueType. I use Times New Roman (TrueType) and Symbol (TrueType)in equation editor with no hassle. Agreed, it could be slicker. 2. FM Mac does ligatures, not Windows. My FM Win 6 uses OpenType fonts no problem. 3. I have had no problem with x-refs over the years. 4. My MathType equations, which are saved as EPS, appear as gray boxes. What's up with that? Make sure your EPS has a TIFF preview. Generally speaking, this is a limitation of trying to display vector artwork to a screen; screens display pixels and don't use vectors. (Noted, some programs can internally interpret and render the EPS, but it really is still an issue with the EPS. If you saved as EMF, for example, Windows should provide your preview.) AS for your likes, I especially agree with regards to stability (1) and speed (4). Cheers, Sean
