Hi There, The chapters in this file are very brief, so the decision has been made to combine them into sections, and have each of four sections constitute one file. Therefore, there could be six or more chapters in one section (which is only around 65 pages). A typical example follows: File 1 (Section 1) contains Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, and Chapter 6 File 2 (Section 2) contains Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 10, Chapter 11, Chapter 12, Chapter 13, etc. I currently have a paragraph format with paragraph numbering for the entire first file. That works fine for that file. However, when starting the next file, is there a way for the "chapter" numbering to continue automatically? I currently have to manually insert a new beginning chapter number in each new file and have a separate paragraph format for the first "chapter" of the file. Is there a more efficient way to do this? If so, please e-mail me at jayneyw@mackie.com. Thanks very much. Jayney
