Deleting formats from mutliple FM Docs

Our documentation set contains a lot of FM documents that have been created by various writers over the years. In an effort to unify the apearance of these documents, I am looking to apply a new house style to everything, and naturally I need to import the new formats (File>Import>Formats). I know I can do this across all of the files in a book in one easy step, which should make this exercise a breeze, but what I want to do first is to delete all of the existing formats so that the paragraph catalogue, for example, ends up containing only the new paragraph formats.

This is where I am having a problem - I cannot see any way in which to do this in one easy step. It looks like I have to go into each individual FM file and manually delete each and every paragraph format in the catalogue.

Have I missed something or is this the only way?

Cheers

Steve
