Both of my installs of Acrobat 4 (Mac) and the stand alone copy of Distiller
4 that came with FM6 both include the four face family of ArialMT
(Postscript). Check your Acrobat or Distiller folder and then go two folders
deeper -- Resources/Fonts. Perhaps you're missing that font, it might be one
of the default font-substitution faces.

There should also be a copy in your System folder under Application
Support/Adobe/Fonts/Reqrd/Base/

There may also be a conflict with Arial or ArialMT TrueType on your system,
or missing Postscript screen fonts, so it's trying to use the Arial TrueType
screen font suitcase. The standard Internet Explorer install dumps Arial
TrueType screens in your sys folder, for example. I believe the default HP
LaserJet install also puts more copies of ArialMT on your system. Also,
there's an Adobe cut of ArialMT and a MonoType cut of ArialMT. Perhaps the
doc was originally created with the MonoType cut and it has a different
internal (or platform) id/name.

Anyhow, there's some ideas, good luck.
