What can FM users do to motivate Adobe?

The main action that FM users can take is to NOT upgrade to FM 7. If enough FM users take this action and, in addition, write a letter to appropriate persons at Adobe, this should send a strong message to Adobe. The strongest message to Adobe will consist of a serious shortfall in upgrade sales, indicating dissatisfaction among FM users, many of them long-time users. The letters, in turn, will direct Adobes attention to the reason for the shortfall.

I think that the letters will have maximal effect if the FM user indicates an alternative program that they are seriously considering switching to and if the specific reasons for this consideration are given specific as to features and bugs of concern to the user. The thread entitled The Best Alternative to FM is intended to address this need, providing helpful information to FM users and FM developers alike as to the best alternative to FM.

I think it would be good to send a copy of a letter to both the head of the FM department and the head of Adobe. Can someone provide the names and addresses of these people, or other people who should receive a copy of such a letter?

FM users could also consider writing to the appropriate people at competing companies, informing them that if their program had such-and-such, youd seriously consider switching to it.

A thread could be started for people who wish to post their letters, or excerpts from them.

Finally, FM users could attempt to get the word out among their kin, encouraging other FM users to take the foregoing action in order to motivate Adobe to better serve their needs. Employees could talk this over with their supervisors and attempt to persuade their supervisors to join the effort to attempt to motivate Adobe.
