In the search box, choose find character format. Missing fonts will appear in the list of available fonts, but grayed. You can choose the missing font and then search for it. Before doing the search, click someplace outside the frame, or the character format will default to the current format. That will give you size, weight, spacing, etc. You want nothing specified except the font itself. Even then you may not find it if the font is used in a master page or in some other odd contexts. Another approach is to do save as MIF and use a text editor to find the name of the missing font. That's what I do when the approach in the first paragraph doesn't work.
