I'm wondering if I can automatically position two anchored frames to appear on facing pages in FM 7.2. The paragraph designer allows me to position a paragraph containing an anchor at the top of a left or right page, but this isn't useful because it would break the text flow, creating a gap with no text. The anchored frame dialog window allows me to position a frame at the top of a column, but not at the top of a left or right page. In case there's no obvious way to achieve that generic goal, my specific situation of interest pertains to two complementary full-page frames. Thus, I can easily arrange for them to automatically appear on successive pages, but I don't know of an automatic way to arrange for the first to appear on a left page.

Philip, In this case, you could use the MasterPage mapping table to automatically assign custom master pages that would have allowances for a graphic area at the top of the pages (use custom, auto-connected frames to leave an area for the graphic so that it text appears to flow around the graphic). You would need to have a trigger paragraph in your text flow to cause the master page assignments.

The problem is that if a paragraph triggers the first figure-page, the paragraph will have to be set to appear at the top of a left page, thereby causing a gap in the text, as the paragraph jumps ahead to the top of the next left page.
