Color of condition tags are no longer honored

I'm using Framemaker 7.2b144 on Vista.
My documents have two condition tags:
'ae' displays the text in green, underline
'rd' displays the text in red, underline

This worked fine until now.
Even though the conditional text is still there,
I no longer see it displayed in color or underlined.
All text (regular and conditional) is now black.
When I copy conditional text from another text
(in which the color is shown), it appears as black
in the copied document.

The Edit Condition Tag form shows the correct
colors and style (underline) for the tags.

I just don't SEE the color.
Is there a setting that I may have changed to
override the colors???

Thanks for any hints

S, if you do a forum search here you'll find some recent threads about condition tag issues which may have some tips.

However, I would strongly recommend updating your FM to the latest (free) update version which would be 7.2p158 as there have been many significant changes since the initial 7.2b144 release, some of which may directly affect the conditional functionality.

Note that FM updates aren't "roll-up", so you have to install each one individually, in order.

Thanks for the recommendations.

To my knowledge, this is a patch for Windows, not Vista?

FM 7.2 was released before Vista, but even so, the updates to FM would apply to any Windows version.

I believe that if you copy text that has a condition applied to it and paste it into a document that does not already have the same condition(s) defined in the document's condition "catalog", then the condition will appear to be applied, yes, but until the condition definition is actually added to the document, the text will not appear with the condition color or font changes.

If the document does have the conditions defined, then pasting in the copied text will display the condition color/font.
