I have designed a website in GoLive (http://www.tilerescue.com.au) however, the left navigational bar does not seem to be working in FF however it works fine in IE. The top navigation bar works fine. I have been told that I have a large transparent object (layer) over the entire page. When I search the source code I can't find what it may be. Can someone look at the code please and advise where I have made the error and what I should do to fix it. I am not very fluent in HTML code. Thanks for your assistance,

Somewhere around here, I think: <div style="position:relative;width:908px;height:1378px;-adbe-g:p;">

Mellady: I have very bad new for you. Have you tried increasing the text size in Firefox? Your page becomes an overlapping mess in a hurry. This is the price you pay (and that nobody warns you about) when you use layers to build your page. I believe it's also the use of GL's grid that does the same thing. Unfortunately, as long as you have used all absolutely positioned elements for layout, there is no easy fix other than starting over. By the way, I count 49 'layers' on the page, many of which do not have an assigned z-index, and are therefore rendered at the default z-index of 1. This would make *all* of your layers rendered at the same z-index, since those that have been assigned values are also at an assigned value of 1. This creates a nearly impenetrable mess. Sorry. -- Murray

The Firefox problem does indeed come from the layout grid. You might convert it to a table-based grid. That would appear the simplest solution, without giving yourself extra work on the page layout. To see the overlapping behaviour in Firefox 3, you may have to switch on View > Zoom Text Only. The new default behaviour zooms all page content, rather than simply increasing the font size of text content, hence no overlapping; this is the same behaviour as Opera has used for a long time (and which I believe will be adopted for Safari in the next version as well). I'm afraid the grids, especially the css one, seem to be a superficially attractive trap for the unwary. As soon as I saw -adbe-g:p; I thought 'uh-oh!'

Thank you to John, Kath and Murray, As you probably guessed, this was my first time using GoLive. May I ask, pardon if this is not allowed, how much it would cost for one of you to fix this situation with the code? I do not think that I have the expertise to fix this problem. I appreciate your assistance, Mellady
