If you work with InCopy CS2 you can work against InDesign CS2 and use assignments and incx for stories, but InCopy CS2 is also compatible to InDesign CS, but than you have to use incd for InCopy Stories, assignments and incx will not work. You can also use incd and increase the compatibility to CS2 and CS but you will get a limitiation to a lot of features.
