Transparency is not a Postscript Level 3 function because PS Level 3 is 2 Dimensional and doesn't see layers.

Why not create Postsript Level 4 so postscript can read layers (3 Dimensional)? It would also help Adobe to get transparency adopted better in more of their programs without haveing to flatten the file.
