Freehand MX
I am doing the following steps:
create simple "empty" object with only 1 text line
let's say "TEST 1"
export as t1.eps
close file in FH MX
open eps file in Text editor
edit text line to "TEST 2"
save
open t1.eps file in FH MX
it brings old text line "TEST 1" ignoring the results of recent editing

why?

2.
I need to change some Text lines in given EPS file (created either by FH 8, 10, MX or by Illustrator) via the program/script.
I assume that if I will simply replace old text value with new and save the file it should work. It doesn't.

why?

any links about how to (with samples of scripts in any language) manipulate with text fields in given simple EPS files?
