Hi experts out there, I am working on exporting my geometry model images to vectorized PS files. I have problem to handle the transparent parts. I have heard now PS level 3 begin to support transparency. Can anyone provide more details about the syntax or the topic general. thanks in advance.

> I have heard now PS level 3 begin to support transparency. That is not correct. PostScript has no support for transparency (except for a means to pass transparency requests to Distiller 6.0 to generate a PDF with transparency). Aandi Inston

Ben, In simpler cases you can do transparency even in Level1. It is easy to calculate colours a la OpenGL blending rules, it is not so easy to find clipping areas where such colours apply. It is cumbersome, but can be done. The question is: can the result justify the effort? I've done a few 3d stuff this way and I like the results very much. However, lucky me, I don't have to justify the time and effort to anybody. Miklos
