Hello: I would like to embed a custom type 1 font into my postscript file. Since type 1 font is essentially a post script file in itself (correct?), I'm guessing I just cut and paste the *.pfa file inside the *.ps file. Is that correct? Can you anyone point me to some references/examples? It would be nice to only embed the characters that I need and not everything in order to keep the file size small. Thanks

Yes, that's all there is to it. A PFA (not PFB) font is a complete segment of PostScript program, which includes a definefont. After it is included you can use findfont to work with it. Aandi Inston

You are right, I got it working now. All I had to do was copy the entire *.pfa file and place it at the top of my *.ps file.
