Thanks for your reply. I am aware of your knowledge of this product...

I have got press ready working beautifully on an Epson 5000 and the results seem astounding although I have yet to compare them to a digital cromalin. However, I might be implementing the application incorrectly as my targets do not print out too dark or over inked.

In fact I have printed both a cmyk and rgb target using the 'unspecified' route and made profiles from the results. These seem to slightly adjust the colour, but I've yet to cross compare with a digi cromalin.

Maybe you could set me straight... from my tests and the lack of useful manual...

1. Printing from Photoshop 6.01 on Mac
2. Control Panel>Adobe Print Col=CMYK press setting + RGB workspace
3. Selecting Press ready printer in chooser
4. Page set up to paper size
5. Print dialog box
5a. General>Photoshop 6.01=postscript colour management + perceptual
5b. Colour Matching=Color/Greyscale (this makes no difference)
5c. PR settings=Best + PQFilm
6. Print

This is what I've found to produce the best results...
