I was looking for a more flexible solution than PressReady concerning the posibity to use custom ICC profiles for papers others than Hewlett Packard for my HP 1220 C/PS. I tried out the PowerRIP 2000 but I was very disappointed. I tried to print out a part of a catalog with nothing but two full page Photoshop EPS-files in 250dpi in lettersize and PowerRIP 2000 needed 15 minutes to process the job where PressReady needed ONE minute only with exactly the same result!

With this ripping times PowerRIP 2000 is no alternative to PressReady and I am more convinced now that it would be better to buy as soon as possible the full version of PressReady, because it seems that there is rather no reasonable alternative. Am I correct that the full PressReady version works with rather all inkjet printers and also new ones like EPSON 2200?

And where can I find PressReady, because Adobe has stopped to offer it?

Why can PressReady be so much faster than PowerRIP?
