The problem with converting from CMYK back into RGB (however good the conversion algorithm and the profiles may be) is that you are throwing the existing black plate back into the RGB mix. Thus, you have destroyed the black plate (which the Press will be using for output). I don't see how any device could correctly predict output without a black plate.
