I am using Illustrator10.0.3 on an XP networked computer. When I print to my old QMS860 mono local printer, various components of the file, often patterns are not printed and an error message printed: ERROR: limitcheck OFFENDING COMMAND: LZWDecode. Far larger raster file print OK, so it is not a file size issue same happens when I flatten layers and the same files will print off a Mac attached to the same printer. These files previously printed from an NT machine

Your old QMS860 mono local printer (at least 11 or 12 years old now) is a very early third party emulation of PostScript, i.e., it doesn't have Adobe PostScript. It was known to have problems processing valid PostScript. - Dov
