I do feel obliged to mention something, as people have got into
serious trouble that way. My apologies if I have misunderstood your
statement.

That doesn't sound as if the Acrobat license would allow it. Unless
you manually do the task for the other people each time - they must
not be able to do it themselves, they would have to own the software.
This is a license restriction, not a technical one.

Actually, that extra page is generated by Microsoft Word, not by the printer driver or Distiller.

In the print dialog, click the options button. You will find that the Include with document - Document properties option is checked. Un-check the option, press OK and then OK to print. That dumb extra page goes bye-bye ...

thanks Dov, that worked! Actually each person has distillar which comes with pagemaker installed. That allows me to print from several different programs.
