Like others who have posted, I have been very interested in learning how to open E-Mailed PDF attachments on my Palm OS-based Treo 600. I believe I now have the answers to the important questions on this issue, for the present time.
	There are no applications that can open PDF files directly on the handheld. There is an Adobe Acrobat viewer for Palm OS that you can download for free from the Adobe website; but, unfortunately, it relies on the Hot Sync conduit to convert PDFs to a Palm format, which means that it will not open an E-Mailed PDF attachment.
	Fortunately, there is a way to open PDF attachments to your E-Mails. When you receive, on your handheld, an E-Mail message with a PDF attchment, forward it to one of the two following addresses: pdf2html@adobe.com (if your message is in HTML) and pdf2txt@adobe.com (if your message is in plain text). Adobe will convert the text in the PDF to HTML or plain text and will send the text back to you as the message body of a reply to your message. And you will get your reply with blazing speed, sometimes in less than 30 seconds. You will not get any of the graphics, or images, or objects that were in the PDF. But you will get all the text.
	That's the best we can do at the present time. I have heard that Adobe is working on a viewer that will open PDFs directly in native format, without needing the Hot Sync conduit to convert the PDF into a Palm format
database, but that this is at least a year away.
