Hi all, just bought a new scanner from canon. A part of the scanner software is the so called "Toolbox". It creates PDF's with the Version 1.3 and the identified text in it using a ocr component. If selecting the text in Acrobat Reader 6 all is well. Here a sample Part in german, sorry: Durch die Erhhung der Mehrwertsteuer um drei Prozentpunkte erhht sich der Bruttopreis If doing the same in Reader 7 or 8 the Text looks like this: Durchd ie Erhhungd er Mehrwertsteueru m drei Prozentpunktee rhht sichd er Bruttopreis The search in 7 and 8 is not able to find the word "erhht" for example. Whats wrong ? Is the file corrupt ? Is the Reader not downward compatible ? Or is there any option to change ? The german canon support told me that it could'nt be their problem. thanks a lot for your help
