Hi, if have installed the Acrobat Reader Version 8.0 (German version) on my Notebook. After opening any pdf-file with that new program, there is always a window with the following message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Programme\Adobe\Reader8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

What can I do to solve this problem? I have installed Reader Version 8.0 also on other computers and it is running without any problems. I have scanned my notebook in order to find potentiel spy programs, virus etc. - but it's completely clean. I have deinstalled and reinstalled the Acrobat Reader 8.0 serveral times. But up to now all these efforts have been without any success. Just for information: On same notebook the program Acrobat Reader Version 7.08 is running without any problems/failure messages.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm using Windows XP/SP2.

Stefan
