get message--need cd with acrobat 6 on it to update 6.01 to 6.02 before acrobat 8 can proceed.
cant download reader 6, cant unistall it, repair it , or even remove it using add remove in control panel---i dont believe i ever had a cd--just a download from the acrobat website for acrobat 6 and later acrobat 7
---7 cant be removed either
anyone out there have a grenade to download that will wipe all instances of adobe acrobat reader so acrobat 8 can be installed?
I am running xp pro with 2 gb ram on a new 9300inspiron notebook.
I am beginning to wonder of the value of SOLELY employing a file size reducing program such as acrobat when large files --uncompressed--can be so readily downloaded with high speed internet access.
