Open any window in Explorer. Go to Tools...Folder Options...and select the File Types tab. Scroll down to the PDF extension, select it and the Change button becomes active next to the Opens With: item. Click Change and it will bring up the "known" programs which have been installed. Reader should be an option. Select it and make sure the check box is on for Always Open using this program.
