Ever since we installed Reader 8 (which we needed for a particular web site) we are having trouble with the full versions of Adobe Acrobat Professional (6 & 7) that were also installed on each machine. Now all PDFs default to opening in Reader 8 and even the our Shortcuts for Acrobat open Reader instead of Acrobat! It is causing major difficulties for us since we use Acrobat for scanning and creating interactive forms and now can't even find a way to open Acrobat. Has anyone had a similar issue or have a suggestion on how to solve this? To add to the mystery, when you look in Add/Remove Programs, Acrobat has disappered! It's like Reader came in a swallowed it up! We are running Windows XP.
