I have this same problem (Reader has encountered....). Just upgraded to version 8.0 yesterday. Am using ATT Yahoo Browser. They say problem is with Reader. Files open fine from hard drive and using Outlook browser. Problem began a couple weeks ago with Reader version 7.08. Thought upgrade would help, but it did not.
