      But the combination of (a) deactivating the Find Toolbar and (b) then
      doing a text Search causes an immediate crash in my installation of Reader
      8. By simply reactivating the Find Toolbar, the crashing problem is solved.




Hmm, too bad I can't repro this. Did you do any other toolbar customization, or just the Find item?
