I want to detect if Adobe Reader 8.0's activeX object for viewing within a browser window is installed. In version 7 to detect using javascript I would try to create an "AcroPDF.PDF.1" object if it is created correctly then I know they have it installed.

Here's an example

var acrobat=new Object();
acrobat.installed=false;
acrobat.version='0.0';
try
{
	oAcro7=new ActiveXObject('AcroPDF.PDF.1');
	if (oAcro7)
	{
		acrobat.installed=true;
		acrobat.version='7.0';
	}
}
catch(e) {}

For version 8 what is the activex object name so I can detect it using Javascript.

Thanks for any information you can provide.
