Ok, I found that Magic Menu Enabler in /Library/InputManagers and removed it. I did a Get Info on it and it says it was part of Spring Cleaning 6.0.1 which I don't have anymore (I've upgraded to Spring Cleaning 8.0) . After removing it, I rebooted and re-installed Adobe Reader 8. Started it up and it runs for about 10 seconds and then crashes again, exactly like before. Well...it was worth a try at least.
