I've just installed Adobe Reader 8.0 on Vista 64bit. It works fine except that PDFs are not indexed by the Windows Search service. Looking at the advanced options it would appear that the service cannot find the IFilter that was installed with Adobe Reader. It is listed as "Registered IFilter is not found". Does the 32bit IFilter not work in Vista 64bit? Is a 64bit version of Adobe Reader planned?
