I have encountered a message after running Win Doctor. I am told that there are 2 files (mscvp80.dll and mscvr80.dll) that are not found. Both files are on the machine (WIN XP Pro SP2). Actually there are 2 versions of the files; one each from the Reader 7 install and those from the Reader 8. If I uninstall Reader 7 and do a clean install of 8 I still get the message even tho I have removed the DLL's. The Reader runs fine in both Firefox and IE7 along with standalone. The question is-has anyone else encountered this behavior with Reader 8? IT does NOT happen with 7. The version of Norton is Systemworks 2005 and is fully patched. I use a separate edition of their anti-virus that is current.
