Judging from your post, I may have misunderstood what 'rights' mean. If one goes into 'properties' and 'security' all papers that I have looked at (incidentally, also those that I have created myself) states : commenting : Not allowed How then does one highlight text section in a pdf file ? When I click 'Tools' -> 'Customise toolbar' and tick the 'comment and markup bar', it nonetheless never appears as toolbar. Supposedly the toolbar is only available when "document rights are enabled". This doesn't happen automatically (not even in the pdf files that I have created myself) and a brief look at the 1000+ files that I have on my harddrive, they similarly say: Commenting : Not allowed. When then, is this highly adversed new feature then usable ?
