I found that in Vista the temporary files disappear as soon as you click RUN to install the program. This happens for both Adobe Reader 8 and Acrobat Professional 8. If you copy the temp files to another folder and then run them, it works fine. I'm not sure if this is an installer incompatibility with Vista or what, but it doesnt work like it should and its the only installer I have run into so far.
