One is supposed to be able to highlight sections in pdf files (to aid reading & memory), but there are no specific details in the help function, bar that it seems to only be possible when one has 'document rights'. Since most pdf files that I look at (academic papers) are written by others, who therefore have those so-called document rights, highlightling seems only to be possibe in files that *I* create. Is there any way to circumvent this ? I'm only interested in highlighting selected sections (i.e. e.g. 'drawing' on top of the text), not changing the files as such. Is this possible with Adobe Reader 8 ?
