In my tests, On older Dell PIII 933 mHz machines, 512M, Nvidia TNT2, using the vertical scroll bar on the right causes screen rendering issues, (you see partial images, the screen image gets corrupted, etc.) I can't repeat this on more modern PC's. This didn't happen with Reader 7. I'm hesitant to change the video drivers for these desktops as they've worked fine for 3 years now and are Nvidia and WHQL approved.
