When I look at the programs that start automatically with WinXP, I find "Adobe Reader Speed Launch." Have removed it twice from the startup list, but it just comes back. Looking through Preferences, I find no way to disable it.
I use the Reader once a month or less and have no reason for it to take computer resources and slow down boot times. Is there a way to disable it, and what if any cost would there be? I'd be grateful for any assistance.
Hoping that I, not Adobe, am in charge of my computer.
Thanks, _/\/\ichael{R}
