I had the same trouble trying to install newer versions...then got some help. Download the Windows Install Cleanup...it removes all selected programs including older versions of Adobe, which "said could not locate" during installation. After using the "Cleanup" reinstall the version of Adobe that you want and works perfectly...Good luck.
