Hi, this is my first visit to the Forum, I hope someone can help.

I have never had any problems with downloads of any kind until I had to reinstall Windows XP and rebuild my hard drive after a system failure a few weeks ago. I had a recent backup, so I was not worried about losing too much and it was fairly painless to reinstall everything else. However, I can't reinstall Adobe Reader 7.0.8 even if I go in and delete everything Adobe from what is installed in the Program Files and start over - it does not seem to like the latest version of Reader - I had a recent version but not the very latest, it seems. I can download it fine, but I can't install it. I get the following error message every time:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

For one thing, I am NOT on a network. I have tried everything to get this to work. I cleaned everything out of installed programs from prior versions and reinstalled Download Manager and tried again - no luck. I have more than enough of the system requirements, a stable high speed Internet connection and lots of disk space.

I am not an "expert" with computers but I have learned a lot, and this is really stumping me.

If anyone has had this happen to them, please advise. I need my pdfs!

Thank you!
