printing and temporary file cleanup

The specific version I'm running is "Adobe Reader 7.0.8 05/22/2006", on Debian Linux (CUPS printing setup). The issue I'm having is that, every time I print something from Reader, it extracts a copy of the PPD file for my printer from CUPS, which I can sort of understand, but it never deletes that copy, so I end up with a bunch of temporary files left around that I have to clean up manually. Is there an easy way to fix this? Has anyone else even observed this behavior?
