I deal with large pdf documents/manuals (199 pages in this case).
The pdf I am working with is 54.3 MB. I have 13 pages that were extracted individually from it. One of the 13 pages that was extracted is 51.8 MB by itself. It has some text on it, and 1 image.

I have looked at the pdf optimizer as suggested in another thread and found that 99 pct is the fault of that image. The original image prior to pdf is 317 KB

The process used is: The image is imported into a FileMaker 8.5 program, then pdf created. I use Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0.5.

If I were to print the one page in question straight from FileMaker to pdf, it saves as 72 KB, image included.

The problem is with the extraction somehow. We have tried several different documents and pages at random and have the same result, so not a corrupted file.

Any help would be greatly apprciated
