Error 1402 when downloading any version of Acrobat reader

My acrobat reader disappeared suddenly from my computer. All attempts to down load acrobat reader (various versions) failed. Just before the installation is completed (7 se. to go) the following error comes out:
Error 1402 could not open key Hkey_local_machine\software\classes\AcroIhelpr.AcroIEH1probj\CLSID
Verify you have sufficient access to that key
Please help
