I have approximately 2000 PDF files which contain a Page Open JavaScript action that populates two forms/text fields. The Page Open action was applied to the files using a Batch Sequence in Adobe Professional 6. Security settings on the files only allow printing. The Page Open action works as desired in Acrobat products 4 - 6.

When the files are opened with Acrobat Reader 7 or Professional 7, the Page Open JavaScript does not work. I found that if the file security is modified to allow filling of form fields the Open Page script works.

Is there another means to make this work other than having to change security on all the files or why the two version behave differently?

Running in XP.
