acrord32info.exe causing file lock

I have a user who's unable to rename or delete PDF files. Seems to be a file lock on the file since the error is regarding the file being in use. It turns out the file lock is a result of arcord32info.exe which is invoked simply by mousing-over a PDF file (rather odd implementation...). I've tried updating Acrobat Reader to the most current version, uninstalling completely and reinstalling, force quitting that app instance in the Task Manager - all with no luck. For the time being I've renamed the application so that deleting and renaming is once again possible, but this seems like a problem that would be affecting many other folks. Anyone know about this? Thanks.
Ryan
