The problem has been identified to be related to Adobe Reader 7.0.5+
that running on both W2K & XP, with IE6.

We have an enterprise web based reporting application. On the back end, it uses WebFOCUS to generate Adobe Acrobat documents. On the front end, it is comprised of three HTML frames: one frame to select different reports, one frame to select report options & view reports, and one frame giving users options to view reports in Adobe, Excel, or Word.

Users will go in and select a report. Often they will need to drill down on the report to get report details. When the user drills down on the report, Adobe Acrobat eliminates the navigation frames and takes up the whole window under Internet Explorer. Users are no longer able to go back and forth between reporting levels. Selecting back in Internet Explorer takes users to the application main page, and not back one report level.
