Display PDF in Web browser not working - opens in new window

I have the situation where, when I click on a PDF web link, and a new window opens. I have checked my preferences and I have my Adobe (Acrobat 5.0 and Reader 7.0.8 ) Web Browser Options, checked to "Display PDF in Browser".
I need the PDF to open in the browser so I have access to the full web address, which I lose when it opens in a new window.
This there another option or preference that I need to change to make this work?
