I've actually seen this is pretty much every version of Reader for 2 years now. But recently I bought a 24" LCD screen and hope there is a solution. Each time I open a pdf document on any of my Macs the Viewer Window insists on covering the entire screen - edge to edge and bottom to under the menu bar. I thnk have to grab the bottom right corner to resize it down so I can see my desktop icons. In preferences i see where I can set the default ZOOM but nothing seems to allow me to force the window (viewere) size to be remembered or to snap to the size of the zoomed document. Mac OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4.7, Reader 7.0.8 thanks much Bill
