Coffeetable book on DVD

I'm publishing a coffeetable book and I want to put the book on a CD. I have InDesign files and have made PDF files that can be read with Acrobat. I can see how to show one page at a time, but I want to show double page spreads against a black background and allow the user to go backwards and forwards. My problem is I can't see how to put the double page spreads on the screen instead of the single page. Anyone have the answer?
