Thank you, Joe:
About 6 weeks ago, I tried to upgrade from 7.0.7 to 7.0.8. All I got were error messages.
I remembered a similar problem in the past and the solution was to remove Adobe and then install the latest version.
Add/Remove Programs did not let me remove it, so I used Windows Installer Utility Cleanup Tool. It disappeared from the list of programs, but when I tried to download 7.0.8, it said that the older version of Adobe could not be removed.
I looked for help here and received about eight suggestions, of which none worked. I eventually downloaded Foxit.
The link you provided installed Adobe with absolutely no problem at all, and I was able to update afterwards. This download seemingly overwrote all the old unremovable files. Now, everything is back to normal.
Thanks again. Glad you came along.
